The IT show is just hours away. You’d probably have something in mind to splurge on in these 4 days of non-stop bargains. To help you further with the agony of finding out the prices, here are some of the preview bargains that will leave you baffled.

MacBook Air

For those who haven’t seen it, feel it or even caress it; The MacBook Air will make its debut (and probably take centre stage at Apple’s booth) tomorrow @ booth 8108, Level 4. This thin notebook comes with Intel Core 2 Duo processor (1.6 Ghz) with 2GB DDR2 RAM. It will retail at a price of $2988.

PDA Phones 

Mobile warriors take heed. The IT Show will bring you a myriad of multi-functional gadgets that will bring you to your knees. Personally, I’d like to own one. But sadly, I don’t have the financial capability to do so. However, if you’re looking for a deal, HTC presents you with several awesome PDA phones. The HTC touch cruise (Wifi/3.5G/HSDPA) is a superb mobile warrior. It even has an on board GPS system that keeps from getting lost! It retails at $1198 (FREE 1GB microSD card, MapKing R12, Car holder and Car Charger) @ booth 6118 and 6138, Level 6).

Digital Cameras 

Everyone seems to own one these days and if you’re planning to get one soon, the IT show would be a good place to search for bargains.

For those looking for DSLRs, the you must not give the Olympus E3 a miss! Oli users swear by their lenses that the E3 is amongst the best of the mid-range - proffessional DSLRs (yeah right! :p). It comes with splash proof protection, swivel live view (which I love alot) and the world’s fastest 11-point Twin cross AF system which will give you the best auto-focus when you need it. It retails at $2699 with loads of attractive freebies! Do check them out at booth 81111, level 4.

For compact lovers, nothing beats Canon (IMO). However, if you are really looking for budget cameras, take a look at this deal. The Fujifilm Finepix Z5 is retailing at $199 down from a price of $338! Amazing deal indeed! And it comes with the usual IT Show bundles+freebies!

Internet broadband 

The ISPs never fail to release new freebies during IT shows to attract people to subscribe with them in a long-long contract. The MacBook deal is back again! If you can’t afford to get one, sign up with Singnet’s 10Mbps 30-mth contract (holy shit!) and you’ll get yourself a nice shiny white 13″ MacBook.

A reminder for those who are going — Please do not bring your baby/toddler/little children. It will get very cramp in the exhibition halls and you’d probably cause a huge inconvenience to others. Leave your kids at home and squeeze into the crowds like the others!

And for those who are giving it a miss (like myself, with loads of work to finish), do not fret. The next IT show will probably be in about 3-4 month time. Save up and splurge! hurhur..
