So the rumours heard a few weeks back was true! After a tip-off from a source, I began posting about the next generation Eee PC that would include WiMax + HSDPA support and a wider 8.9″ screen. These upgrades would really make the Eee PC a true mobile warrior!
It was unveil yesterday that what was first a rumour is indeed true! On the first day of CES, ASUStek chairman Jonney Shih told reporters that the next generation Asus Eee PC will include WiMax support. The additional WiMax module is optional. On top of that, users will also have the choice of choosing a wider 8.9″ LCD screen or the original 7″ Asus Eee PC. This was unveil at a joint Intel and ASUStek conference at the exhibition. Sadly, there wasn’t any news regarding any HSDPA module in the next generation Eee PC. However, there is a widely known hack that will allow you to use HSDPA on an Eee PC.
