After the merger between Compiz and Beryl, a new windows manager is re-born! It was named CompComm at first but changed to Compiz Fusion later (for the better!). With the two together, you can expect the best! And the best windows effect (in my opinion) is slowly showing in their updates/plugins, almost to industry/professional level. Windows Vista pales in comparison with Compiz Fusion. However, the drawback is that the packages are still in development and not 100% stable. Furthermore, if you aren’t new to Compiz or Beryl, you would already know that ATI cards are not very kind to these window manager/decorator. A work around is always available.
Without further babbling, here’s a preview of what you can expect with Compiz Fusion.
A quick Demo.
